Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic predictions

Kunal Kohli is making a new film from the house of Yash Raj with two of Bollywood's better actors, Rani Mukherjee and Saif Ali Khan. What remains to be seen is if Kunal can bring back the Magic of the pair from Hum Tum or will it also be a fad like Tararumpumpum or whatever.

Problem with bollywood now is that all the actors have grown old, and there are very few new actors.

Why else would people talk about a new Kareena and all that. I would say, in the country of the Olds, the 35 year old is the Teen, eh!

Saif did look OK in race, but his age is starting to show. After all he is not Sean Connery, and I a sure there will be some part in the new movie where he will act like some twenty nothing.

We need some new face goddamnit.. Some more Deepikas and a few more Salman of the early 90's. Now, that youngistan guy... I don't see too much future beyond the derrier and that towel...

Bollywood Gossip vine has it that there is a cold war between Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee, who seem to have good on screen chemistry. This certainly lay down to rest earlier rumour that the two are having a secret affair. Hmm..

The rumour started on the sets of Kunal Kohli's Next film being shot at Bangkok, where Kareena Kapoor had joined Saif. Apparently Rani was invited to go out together, but she declined.

Two of the hottest couple in town, well lets just say hottest topic. Any couple with Kareena or Shahid could never be hot, however hot Saif Ali Khan or Vidya Balan might be. I can't understand why the hell Shahid and Kareena ever broke off. They were so very perfect for each other, as if they were specially made for the other.

OK, so there lots of speculations about the the two couples, how long they would last blah blah. The guys at IBN turned to the stars, and our celebrity star gazer Bejan Daruwala gave a very Astrologically correct answer that if they get through 2009, the couple may make it. Well, very astrological, specially the "If".

He then added that Shahid Vidya had a better chance.
I think they won't get through 2009. And Bejan would be right. If they did, they would be twoo old to break Off :)

Irrfan Khan Match upto Hollywood Stars

Two months after the release of latest international film "Darjeeling Limited", which was shot in India, the verdict is out.

In a brief role, the fast-rising Indian actor has beaten his well-known co-stars, namely Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman and Adrien Brody who play brothers. While the reviews have largely panned the film and performances, Irrfan has been singled out for praise.

"There's only one performance that rings true in this shambolic odyssey. It's incidental and it's played by Irrfan Khan," wrote the London Times reviewer.

But the downsized part could be a downer for the actor's fans. The international audience which warmed up to Irrfan's scintillating performance in Mira Nair's "The Namesake" and Michael Winterbottom's "A Mighty Heart", are disappointed by the length of his role in British director Wes Anderson's "Darjeeling Limited", a comedy on brotherly bonding.

Believe it or faint, but Irrfan, who now wants to do only centralised characters, has a walk-on part.

How come?

Irrfan, currently shooting dangerous stunts for Neeraj Pandey's "Black or White", is unfazed.

"Yes, the role in 'Darjeeling Limited' is small. But it's a very decisive moment in the script and the critics have loved my work."

In fact, British critic James Christopher from the Times has singled out only Irrfan for praise in what he calls a disappointing comedy.

"Yes, that felt good," Irrfan grinned about the critical approval.[source]
